My dad works for Farm Bureau (President of Oregon) but doesn't get much pay for that. What can I do? I a, 14, so I can't get a job. But I feel guilty because she has to give me money, and buy me things, ETC. What can I do? Please Help? |

Okay, I can see why your mother is stressed out about finances. Everyone in the USA is worried about money right now. The good news is that Its a medical bill. Its a fact that as long as you pay $1.00 per month on a medical bill the debt holder can not sue you, take you to court or send it to collections...They can't even report badly on your FICO score, as long as your parents are making some effort your family will be fine. Congrats to your mom for beating cancer!
P.S
If you really want to help your mom you could find small odd jobs like baby sitting to earn pocket cash so you can lay off your mom for spending money...However don't offer your mom cash...That would just be hurtful to your parents making them feel like they are failing you.

I'm so sorry to here that. But one thing you could do is try not to ask her for as much extra things. You shouldn't feel bad if she has to get you food and stuff like that. You have to have that.

Hi honey,
I am so sorry to hear this :-(
The first thing is to be so thankful that the cancer is gone, and your beautiful Mum is getting better. The second is as you are only 14, well honey you can try and babysit, do some house cleaning, ironing only for neighbours/people you know and trust of course.
I don't really understand the Medical Insurance for the USA, so I can't comment, and for your Dads business, but I will send a pray your way.
I hope all goes well for you honey and your family.

Ps.. Please don't feel guilty, you are loved and you love your family and that is very important. The rest will fall into place. We all have guardian Angels with us.......Just ask them to guide you in the right direction and to help your Mum and Dad.

Be careful with that project payday. If it sounds to good to be true it usually is. If they ask for money upfront say goodbye.
It's probably extremely tedious and will take a lot of time to get any money. Always remember, there is no get rich quick scheme. |

See if you can babysit for someone or clean their house or even take surveys online. At lease that will give you enough for yourself and you have no reason to feel guilty. I'm sure she doesn't blame you for anything. |

I'm so very sorry she had to go through that; however, fortunately it is gone now. That is a huge burden for you to carry at your age. My mother also had breast cancer, then a mastectomy and passed away from liver cancer a few years ago. So I know, somewhat, what you are dealing with; however, I didn't have to go through it with her at such a young age. Number 1--tell your mom you love her every day (I'd tell your father too, as he needs the support, too). I told my mother once as she was close to dying that I wished I could have done more for her. She told me she didn't know what she'd have done without me being there for her every day. So be there for her and talk to her. It's the little things that count, that help, and sometimes you don't even realize it. Do little things for her so she doesn't even have to ask. Let her know you want to do more for her and see if she has any suggestions for you. Is there a church close by that can help you? Love your family and you all will put through it together. Everything else can be replaced. |

you should tell your mother to try to talk a deal with the hospital ..so she can pay them when she gets back on track...and you should try 2 make some extra money to help her out and let her no you are and well be there to help her out..try to help people with basic stuff then they will pay you im only 13 nd i can get a job |

Have your mom talk to the hospital about the bill. Most will be willing to work with you if you honestly can't afford to pay it. |
