Even if he didn't have your permission, the bill is still your responsibility. Ask your phone carrier to work out a payment plan. And block your phone! I asked Verizon to block 900 numbers on my mother's phone, and it worked out. |

Yes. The phone company cannot make you pay for what a minor did. Call them up on Monday and have them remove the charges and put a 900 block on your line. |

call the phone company, and ask them if there is any way. Then smack your son really hard and make him pay for the charges, Make him get an afterschool job. |

There is no way to get out of it, the phone is the soul responsibility of the person that the bill comes to. Phone companies here this everyday and the same thing too, people always want to get out of it. Its either pay your bill or have your phone shut off until you do. Even if he did not have your permission you should of took precautions to block these numbers, take the phone out of his room, or monitor his phone calls. One thing you may try is making your son pay the bill off himself by working. This is the only way you will settle this. |

Sorry... the phone bill is your responsibility. You could have had those numbers blocked by the phone company. It's a little late now but unless you can show he's mentally handicapped or wish to sue him, I don't believe there's much you can do. You can arrange payments but that's gonna be about it. Get a long distance and 900/976 numbers so it doesn't happen again!!! |
