As stated cancel all credit cards. Put the account on Fraud Alert through Trans Union Fraud Dept. Their toll free # is
1-800-680-7289. You should also request your free report from annualcreditreport.com or call them toll free at
1-877-322-8228. Better to be safe than sorry later. |

Call all banks and cancel credit/debit cards. Call the RMV, social security office or any other place where you have IDs. Try to remember everything you had in it and protect yourself. Keep a good check on your credit score, WATCH FOR IDENTITY THEFT! |

contact the Department of Motor Vehicles, your bank(s), credit card companies, Social Security office and any other ID type card companies you may have had in the wallet. If they have your ID for any membership type companies they can access your personal information and jam up your credit and your life. |

if you have a service which covers stolen credit/debit cards, notify them immediately. If not, notify police and KEEP A COPY of the report. Also, notify all your credit/debit issuing banks to limit or eliminate any liability you may have per card. Notify Motor Vehicle Bureau to issue replacement drivers license, vehicle registration. Cash is unfortunately GONE. If you had any blank checks, also notify your bank.
The worst possible scenario is not the loss of cash and cards, it is the risk of IDENTITY THEFT. |

Do you know who took it from you? Was there any personal information in it like credit or driver's license? If so, get help! Call an officer if it was local and you didn't know the person. Confront the person if you knew who they were and demaned they hand your wallet back. If that fails then you can press charges for them stealing personal information. If there was no personal information and just money you really can't do much then get it back your self. |
