I wouldn't trust it. First of all I would question, how they got your phone number. And did you do any type of fund raising with them. Also, if you haven't entered any contest of this nature I would be suspicious. |

IT is most likely a scam.
The prize is pesos so that tells you it is not in the U.S.
You should contact your cell service provider about it and the U.S. Department of Commerce to file a scam report.
Beware of organizations and prize money you know nothing about or winnings from sweepstakes you did not enter.
If you receive a check in the mail that asks you to cash it and send some back,it is a scam and you loose because you have to pay all the money back to the bank. |

It is a scam, obviously.
First of all, who would send a TEXT MESSAGE to notify you that you'd won a lottery? Secondly, if they were contacting a legitimate winner, they would know her name, and would not call her 'sir/madam'. Thirdly, they're asking for her personal information. If she had legitimately entered a lottery, wouldn't they already have that information?
Of course it's spam. It's rubbish. You have not won anything. |

Sounds like a scam to me. Look to see what number it was sent from it was probably sent from a 190 number which means if you text them back you could get a really high charge on your cell phone. I would suggest you read this also.
