I also belong to Prosper.com, which is a group of everyday people who make loans to each other (Under $25,000), but it normally takes 2-4 weeks to get money, so that may take too long.
You might also check the paper classifieds, sometimes people will advertise their willing to make private loans, but normally these are very high rates.
