I'm a 15 year old kid who is trying to save up for a car kit. The car kit cost's $25,000 total, and I've been trying to figure out how to make that much money in 1 and a half years to buy the car kit and to build it.

Those answers are really funny but maybe not reasonable. Unfortunately, the reason you haven't got the right answer is because there is no right answer to this question. As a professional financial planner I have been asked questions similar to this for many years.
The truthful and best answer is save as much as you can, work as hard as you can, and then buy within your means and DO NOT go into debt. I realize that may mean a $15,000 kit but you are building habits that will last far beyond this one time purchase.
Now go ignore my advice like everyone else in this perpetual self gratification seeking society we live in. |

Selling on ebay and flea markets is a start. Try to find a steady job. Figure out if you can make money doing something that you like such as playing an instrument, cleaning, writing, making custom t-shirts, fixing cars.....
Most importantly, think about if your purchase is really worth it. Could you be just as content with a more affordable purchase. Ultimately up to you. |

Well since i am from nyc, kids from my area that are about your age usually buy candy bars from a wholesaler and sell them either on the streets or the train, they'll say something like; hi my name is charles and i am selling candy to keep some money in my pocket and to keep out of trouble , today i have m&m's peanut and snicker bars for a dollar, would anyone like to buy one ... and then people on the train call them over ......or you could go to phoneraiser .com and see if you would want to do something like this just for you, not for your school's benefit, or if you're computer savvy sell your family's old junk that may not have been used in a year or so, you can easily sell stuff on ebay.Well, hope this helps. a mom |
