Over draft fees?
Well my bank is hitting me with about $100 bucks of overdraft fees, for about 4 purchase I made when I had no money in my checking account.
being this mi first time is it fair if I ask for it to be pardoned kindly? or is it 100% my fault

DEATH
100% your fault. It's YOUR RESPONCIBILITY to maintain your account balance!

Patti B
call your bank... they may not remove all of them but they'll probably remove some.

and if they say no you aren't any worse off then you are now so it's worth a shot.

It is your fault, but if this is the first time you have done this, some banks are willing to forgive the fees as long as you bring your account current. I have seen this go either way. If you have a family member (like a parent) who has a sizeable account at the bank they are more likely to listen to you -- bring that person along.

It is your fault, but you may get a break if you call your bank.

It is your fault. Some banks do and will return one of those fees since it is our first time, but $100 worth of fees is a lot to ask for. 4 purchases are your fault and you shouldnt really get a break on that many.

Play dumb, and maybe they'll reverse it. You should really look into overdraft checking. If you have a savings accout or cd they can link them.

Sorry, but I doubt the bank will credit the fees, no matter the reason there was no money in the account. I've seen people who bounced several checks because one check they deposited to their account bounced. It cost one friend of mine several hundred dollars.

Too late now...
Some banks have what is called "checking plus" (Citibank). Works like a line of credit and you can write checks even if you have no money on the account... I love it. I just issue payments and transfer funds from my savings account when I feel like it. There is no way to write a bad check. Everything is covered.

they will waive at least one, hopefully more, u have to ask nicely.

It is your fault obviously if you no money to cover the transactions. The expensive bonus to this is that the bank paid them for you. If you didn't have "over-draft" protection you would still be charged with a $25 fee from a 'Check-Right' type place or it would be sent to the Prosecutor. My bank only charges $17.52 for an overdraft.

It IS your fault, but it's worth being nice to the bank and apologizing since that might get some of the fees taken off.

Good luck,

Remember, the only way to get rich is to spend less than you earn and invest the rest...

?
It is your fault since you admit to having no money in your account.

Whiskeytangofoxtrot
Call your bank..they may waive one. But you are stuck with the others. I got hit with a 20 dollar fee for a 49 cent over draft. I called and they didn't charge me...

That same problem happened to me. fortunately i had a non-greedy bank owner who erased all of the fees because it was my first time. talk to your bank, nicely, and explain your situation. you may get out of it too.
