I'm getting an extra paycheck this month and can't decide it I should overpay some of my larger bills so i can have disposable income for a few months or if i should take a trip to vegas for a few days.
I live a paycheck to paycheck life.

Vegas for a few days is o-u-t. Too much gambling.
My suggestion is to split it - pay 1/2 on some bills (especially ones that charge high interest rate!) and take the balance and just go away for 1 or 2 nights. When we (me, included) live from payday to payday, we sometimes just need to go do something good for ourselves! It makes working a little worth it. |

Well, we are on the brink of an economic downturn, so I suggest you pay extra on a few bills and use the rest to start an emergency fund. Ideally, over the next year you should try to save enough money in that emergency fund to cover all your expenses for a month.
Also, make sure to use a little (just a little) of the extra money to have fun with friends by splurging on a dinner or movies. |
