No you won't have any problem! Bring an ID just in case.
The only way you would have a problem is if it was a check and it was to someone else who then signed it over to you, and if it is a big amount. Cash is no problem. |

It sounds like there is a problem already. A friend gave you $1500 in cash and you want to know if you will have a problem depositing cash?
The fact that you are so worried makes it all sound fishy to me.
~And, the legal amount IS $10K but most banks start tracking you quietly at lower amounts like $5,000 or $7,500. This is to track people who deposit a lot of smaller amounts in various branches to avoid the $10K paperwork. |

No they shouldnt have a problem! They will check the bills to make sure they arent counterfeit or anything, but you should have no problems. |

No, there should not be any problem with that. You may have to show identification, but when you are depositing money rather than withdrawing you may not even have to show ID. Best of luck. |

Have a visa, bank account, passport or other ID and nobody would care.
American vernacular plus the word order in your question? How you asked? Scammer or someone having fun. |

no, i used to work at a bank and we had people deposit a lot more cash than that. They will probably put them in a uv light to make sure they are real, but it will be fine. Dont worry |

You should have no problem. If you were depositing over $10,000 in cash, your bank would have to report it. However, to be cautious, initially, just deposit say $200-300 in cash. If you then feel comfortable, come back another day and deposit say, $500. Then, come back another day and deposit the rest. Just do not make any jokes about drugs or terrorism. Heck, even I don't do that. Jack |

the bills carry the statement "legal tender..." for a reason.
Just walk up to the teller with a completed deposit slip and smile.
The only problems come if you are depositing large sums (over 5,000 typically) or are doing this often. |

$ 1500 is not a big amount at all. Its what a normal American makes every week( if provided with a decent job). I can understand your frustrations about these stuffs as an international student. I would suggest you to go ahead and deposit the cash as it wont be a problem at all. The chances of you getting in to any trouble by depositing this amount is null. |
