Alright my Friends...what would you do if you went to check your account, and found an Excess of CASH that you KNOW isn't yours? It's JUST THERE! I was paying some bills this Morning and went online to check my balance.....there was $9,200.00 that DOES NOT belong to me...have any of you ever had this happen? YES I am doing the Right Thing...My bags are packed and I'm headed to Jamaica...lol..jk...I called the Bank...they are checking into it...Has this happened to you...was it Bank Error or was it CASH you Forgot you had? THAT'S WHAT I'M HOPING!!!

Just leave it alone. You did notify the bank - that is good. It could be someone else's or it could just be a typo from a clerk. It will be gone as fast as it appeared. |

(Seriously, don't touch it until the bank has done a full investigation and have told you IN WRITING that it is yours to keep. The last think you want to do is spend it or move it and then have them draw the money out a month from now without telling you). |

This actually has happened to me and the hubster. When we traded in the accord for the odyssey, turns out we got some money back, and they put it into our savings without telling us-now, it was just $400, but we were excited none the less. We did not no where it came from, and I had suggested us going shopping, but we asked the bank first where it came from. Thennn I went shopping lol |

A lot of banks make mistakes. It happens. They may leave it there because they cant trace where it came from. My employer has also direct deposited $4000 into my account on 2 seperate occassions. It happens. Spend spend spend. |

YIKES!! I believe that happened to me once, a long time ago, but it was a bank error and it didn't take them long to reverse that transaction. LOL
Check and double check and check again to make sure where that deposit came from, where the extra funds came from, etc. WOW...if they can't find their error, do you get to keep the money???? If you do, COME SEE ME!!! :-)
