I am a 27 year old male. I have been working full time for a nonprofit making $33k a year. I am also half way to a bachelors degree in finance at a local university. During the past couple of years I have been going part time to school which has worked out ok. I am getting to the point now where I really want to finish my degree and go to school full time and get it over with!so I am considering quitting my job at the end of this year so I can give my all to finishing school. Financially, I have $30k in savings, my rent and billls are very low. . I also make a few hundred bucks a month selling on ebay on the side which pays my bills and allows me to not use any of my savings, I also don't pay rent cause I do snow removal and grass cutting for my building. My job would not allow me to go to part time. I am a very smart person but in the past have made some bad choices when it comes to school work etc. I am going for a degree in finance & accounting. What should I do? |

if you have really saved .......really no bs how much are your bills yearly.......include gas grocieres (sp) utilities, evrything you can think of including haircuts and the occasional beer......30,000 if your maiking now 30,000 wont last long at all. what year is your car.......any payments.....just for instence mine just blew the heater core........500.00 just started a transmission problem and needs a rebuilt engine......3000.00 its a 97 mits galant. not worth it....i have to find a used car in my budget. i have made 30,000 a year for the past 3 years but everytime i get ahead something happens. remember if its going well, something will happen.....unfortunately
all my car problems started within days of starting a job im making 3000 a month at......see what i mean.

u should quit ur job, if u feel like u can financially afford to do so. or u can work part time. ur school should be ur first priority. it will pay off big time. |

Well if you think you have the financial security I would definately quit work attend school and knock the last two semesters out of the way, then get another job right after, with probably better working conditions, and definately more pay. |

That seems like pretty good money actually. Lots of people are graduating and not finding jobs even though they have a degree. I would keep doing what youre doing unless you have done research that gives you a LOT of confidence you can find a job, and a better paying one at that, if you get the degree. |

Sweetie you have answered your own question......... sounds like you'll be pretty stable not working by all means go to school get your degree and be proud ...a-lot of people a-lot older can't say they've done as good as you.....go to school......Good Luck |
