First, $1,000,000 at age 18 is not enough to retire on. Unless you plan on living pretty frugally for the rest of your life. Next, find a good financial adviser at one of the major brokerage firms as suggested by another here. While you're at it, go to the library and read some personal finance books. And finally, get a good education so you can get a good job to supplement this windfall and know how to deal with it more responsibly. |

if you are rich the best advice is invest that money in something a liquor store , a landscaping company, a restaurant, where you could make some profit because your uncle will make you pay taxes for long so put your money to work cuz if you dont do ti you start losing gradually ask your parents maybe they will give you some advice, well i think,,.. and it depends where you live also,,... |

Find a financial investment firm that can help you set your short and long term goals.
Don't go crazy and buy all of the latest everything until you know exactly what lifestyle you want and can afford.
Most importantly you need to find a way to give back. One really great thing that you can do is set up a charitable account. This is where you put your money into a specific account and all of the interest is then donated to one or several charitable organizations. It lets your money do great things without you having to loose the original amount. It's not that you don't want to give it away but if you keep it in an interest bearing account then it will keep giving over and over again. You can will the remainder of the account to whatever charitable organization you would like.
Once you have done that then you may want to find another cause that is near and dear to your heart that you can put some time, effort, and even more money into. If you will not have to work all of your life then you will want to spend your non working years contributing in some way to bettering our planet.

Check out different financial companies, such as Prudential, Merril Lynch (spelling?), etc. They can help you with such decisions.
