I have done this before and if you get with the right company it is not a scam. I use to get paid between $10-20 a shop. Now a couple of things you should know. The one I worked for I could only do 10 a month so thats $100-$200 and thats the max. If you are required to purchase something, you have to spend you own money and you are reimbursed the following month. So lets say you did 10 shops @ $10 a pc. And had to spend $30 of your own money in purchase the following month you would get a check for $130. You are responsible for your own taxes. You can get paid through paypal or direct deposit. Here are the ones I worked for that are 100% legit. And none of these charge you any money!

you know i was gonna do that, it seemed very easy and cool , but when they asked for my credit card number so that i could "pay" for access to their website that they have set up with leads, i hung up right away. i dunno if its a scam but it sounds like some of those places are scamming. |

My wife does this for a little extra fun money.
She uses a book "The Mystery Shopper's Manual" by Cathy Stucker.
She's made a few hundred so far, but had to slow down during the summer because the kids were home and then vacation. Just be careful, there are a few predators out there. |

I tried one of those and paid $50 up front to access the company database for job listings. Well after they go my money I got to view the database once and then it locked me out. I couldn't contact the owner. Only had their email address.
Luckily I was able to recover my money, went to my credit card company and they investigated and credited my account after a couple weeks. |

I work for a wireless company. We get shopped once per month per store.
My understanding is that they get paid for each shop that they do and can make a full time job out of it if they shop enough stores. |

Friend of mine did this for several months while trying to look for a job. He wasn't hurting for cash which was a good thing. When he actually wanted to get paid that took another 2 months. |

If you have to ask = SCAM
They charge you for access to a database of jobs. There is nothing there that you can't find elsewhere. Just a bunch of stale and dead end leads. There are not many jobs like this and these guys are not going to find them for you.
Look up any company you think you might want to get involved with on www.bbb.com and see what kind of report they have. If the Better Business Bureau never heard of them == SCAM. |
