Should I apply for welfare?
I am unemployed currently. I have about $15,000 credit card debt and a $15,000 car loan. I have alot of credit and could live on that for a while, but it seems silly to be running up my credit card balance. I have never been on welfare. Do you think I should apply for it?

get a job, welfare is a load of crap. be a responsible adult and get a F'n job i am sick and tired of paying for you lazy people, for the love of god just get a job

M v
You can apply, but if your able to work there gonna tell you that. You could get a job at Walmart, or any low paying employment place.

If you have a family, you could be untitled to food stamps and health insurance.

If I was you, I would first get a job, any job and try to make ends meet. Also, there are agency's that will help you with schooling if you need to change careers.

Call you local employment agency and ask questions.

Welfare isn't going to get you out of debt. You'll need to find a job to do that.

sure why not some of my best friends are on welfare -- that is why the rest of us work make a living and pay taxes!!!

Fluffykitten27
No, find a job and pay your bills. The last thing we need is more people on welfare because its convenient for them.

NO! Get a job and pay your bills like everyone else.
There are plenty of places to go that can help you out in a job hunt, including the unemployment office. You could also use that computer to job hunt.
As far as I'm concerned if you have credit cards, can afford a car, a computer, and internet access you don't need welfare.

No cause we have to pay for what you cant acomplish

welfare is not the place for a people that having a credit card what else using a car. find a job eventhough it is not regarding to your qualification. or maybe you can start doing a small business with your credit card balance.

You should get a job. Given your debt, you show to be bad with money, so welfare is not going to solve your problems, it will only make them worse. Get a job, fix a budget to allow for the payment of bills, and move on.

honey
You should apply. I'm sure it would only be temporary, but continue to look for a job.
