No real worries, I don't think its reported to anyone. Some or most of the money probably won't be available to you until the check clears but thats the only issue that may come up. |

If it's a check.. no it's not reported. If it's cash deposit over $10,000... then yes.. that's reported. |

No worry at all if you are not doing anything illegal... |

NO NO NO. Only CASH over $10,000.00 is reported to the government. |

If you are depositing a CHECK, then nothing is reported. The bank will likely place a hold on the check until it clears.
If you are depositing more than $10,000 in CASH, then a Currency Transaction Report will be sent to the government. |

$10 000 in a single cash deposit? Unless you have a business it sounds fishy, doesn't it? They will report it, because thats how drug money gets into accounts. Go look for an offshore bank like in the Caribbean. they don't ask questions. lol |

Yes, it's reported but on top of that if you try and get a loan they take that $$$ into account. Why don't you CD some of it and build interest. |
|

Yes. Banks are required by law to report transactions over $10K to the gov't. |

Yes, anything over 10,000 is reported. Did you see Mad Money? |

Yes they will, and you better be advised to claim that on your taxes next year or you'll be paid a visit by the tax man. |

You may indeed be investigated for money laundering. But if this $10k isn't from proceeds of crime, you've nothing to worry about. |

Yes it is reported to the Fed. |

It is reported to uncle sam, but if you open an IRA account or better yet, an annuity account, it will still be reported but it will be mostly for investment purposes.
Don't just go and deposit the money in your checking account just like that. Open an investment account or high yield checking account. |

that much and over is always reported to the IRS! So the answer to your question is absolutely yes you should worry.
NO real worry if you can explain to the IRS where, and how you obtained this money. |
