Everyone should pay for themsleves, however the rich got there by being overpaid for not doing much in alot of instances where as the poor bust a55 for minimum wage. |

neither........you have a life, make something with it. The only persons obligated for you are your parents up until a certatin point. After that........... collect cans if you have to. To the person who said the rich get tax breaks, some may be overboard, but I never got a job from a poor person.......so if my employer getting a tax break means I may get a bigger raise or an extra person is hired to help out so be it. Anyway, I want to be one of those rich people....but I do have a charitable soul ie(disabled, and so on) |

The haves should help the have nots. I heard this from a very wise man with a warm and generous spirit. He is not really one of the haves but gives generously because feels it is his duty. It's a bit shameful of how things are because his relatives are very wealthy. My impression upon meeting some of them is that they kind of look down on him. His kids are all successful and college educated. He is very smart, understands physics and high level math.
No question that the rich should be helping the poor because they can. That doesn't mean that the poor can be lazy. No. We all have to do our best and try!
edit: Life is not black and white. It comes down to simple economics. It is impossible for all people to pay for themselves, especially with our current system. If it was that simple then ok but it's not. Life is just not that convenient and problem free. |

It is a nice dream to say everyone needs to pay for themselves, and this would be nice.
However we know for fact that the rich get tax breaks the poor only dream about. Take away these tax breaks and see the rich scream!!
Billions of dollars were just given to big companies by the federal government to keep them in business, what if this money was given to the poor?
It would never happen, the poor are poor for a reason, same as the rich are rich for a reason. It is all a big game.... |

At this rate, everyone will be poor and nobody will be able to pay for anyone..Except retards who get money from the government by not paying tax and getting benefits that taxpayers do not get..
But back to your question, the rich SHOULD pay for the poor, but they WOULD not, 'cause that's the way our society works. |
