The first thing that you have to do is find a document that can track both your spending habits, provide a budget, and calculate all of your assets and liabilities on at least a monthly basis. Financial control begins with you. Naturally, everybody will say, "Well, just make more money," but it's not that easy. When ends are tight, it is more important than ever to have a tight grip on where each last penny is going.
The first expense that should go is eating out. Why pay in excess of $10 per meal that costs about $2 to make at home?
I found a great website that has a financial profile form that can help you get started. It's updated for 2008, and you can leave your financial worries behind you once and for all!

You probably qualify for an FHA loan. Talk to a loan officer at a bank or other (GMAC, etc). They have programs for people with so-so credit. |

You need to find a better job and work to improve your credit. Why are still working in a place that pays so little? See if you can go back to school or get some technical training -- many local schools are willing to work with you on financing. You don't need help; you need to make things happen for yourself -- just like most of the rest of us do. |

There are a lot of programs out there for first time home buyers. Lots of government backed low cost mortgages, etc, for low net worth individuals and first time home buyers.
Start here. Here's a government site about programs to help.

I won't bore you with the whole "you need to apply yourself and go back to school" thing like everyone else. Your situation is independent from anyone else. |

Hi:
In your community, check with the Better Business Bureau, and see if they can steer you to a non-profit company that gives free financial help to consumers. I am sure they can help. Good luck. |

Find a higher paying job would be the first step I'd take...after seven years and you still don't have any extra money? |

Your single with no kids. 1st off, get an education, so you can make more than minimum wage. If this is as high as you can go, you will have to work two jobs. Assistance is for people that can not help themselves. You are more than capable of helping yourself in this situation. I worked sometimes 3 jobs while I was single and before I had kids. Put the nest egg back for the time when you are responsible for the family and can't work the extra hours. |

The answer is a better job. And the way to that may be through education or technical training. Have you looked into those? |

The best advice any person can give you is to understand your credit report, your credit rating, and how both will affect the loan you do get, or even if you will be able to obtain home<!--loans for bad credit. Your credit rating and credit report have everything to do with how potential lenders see you and the risk category you fall into. You see the worst your credit is, the higher the risk category you fall into.

Therefore, the first step in obtaining home loans for bad credit is to get a copy of your credit report and understand the information that is on it. All three credit bureaus are each-->required by law to offer you one free copy of your credit report each year. If you find that your credit score is at or falls below six hundred and twenty, you will need to look into home loans for bad credit. |

you should go to college to get a better job, find something that interests you, it doesnt have to be a doctor just as long as you get the education for a better job, and why do you want a home its better to live in an apartment if you are single and have no kids. |

It sounds like you are a person who is trying and I applaud you for that. It also sounds like you need to increase your earning potential with a better job. I would advise going back to school. There are Pell grants (that you don't have to pay back) and others for folks who are struggling to make ends meet. You ought to call your local community college and ask to speak with someone in their financial aid department - this is not a handout - it is a hand up, and you seem to need and deserve one. God bless you |

you should try to get a higher education and then apply yourself to do well in school so you can get yourself out of this mess, also you could try going to bar tending school and become a bar tender, they make a LOT more than minimum wage. my brother is a bar tender out in Los Angeles and works it part time for a grosse amount of money each year |

start looking 4 a job that pays a little bit better and don't invest in anything other than what you already invest in. Save what ever else you earn & once in a while, treat yourself to a great outfit and a night with your friends. |
