accept the fact that you might NEVER see that money again and learn from your mistake....... you are lucky its only 3000$, some fools gets taken for WAY more than that!!!! in today's world, its been reported everywhere that online scams and ebay scams etc are rampant...sending money by western union to a total stranger is the worst possible thing you can do, and you will learn that when you realize that you will never see that money again. |

The police can definitely do something with an address. They can subpoena Yahoo to get her personal information. If you truly were scammed, and a law was broken, go to the police. |

If you sent the money out of country, you are pretty much out of luck.
Western Union payments are virtually untraceable and unreverseable. That is why the scammers use it. |

Sorry, but no one can help you if you pay someone through Western Union. The money is gone. There are warnings everywhere, on Ebay, PayPal, and other sites warning about sending money by Western Union to a person you don't know.
You can let the FBI know at https://tips.fbi.gov/, but there is probably no hope of recovering your money. About the best than can happen is that the scammer is stopped from fleecing more victims. And even that is doubtful. |
