they will find out eventually ans ask for it back!
you could spoend it and arrange to pay back in installments, treat it as a loan! |

lucky for you but it can be risky too as they have your transaction details.. as much as i know because my mother is the CIA. they can ask you to pay them back when they notice where the money gone.. if they not searching for you within 1 month, the money could be yours.. haha.. hope to be as lucky as you.. |

If you take it and it's not yours, you're still legally required to pay it back.
Think of it if the situation were reversed and you paid money into your account and it got credited somewhere else, you'd want your money right?
To even contemplate taking it would show yourself to be of questionable character. |

I had that happen to me also and believe me, they will catch their Mistake and Deduct it from your account as they did mine. Nope do not spend it because if you do they will File charges against you if you do not have the Funds to repay it. We could all use a Little extra cash, for personal reasons. |

the bank put 22,000 into my account when I only deposited 2,000, the error was by the cashier, but i only realised when I got a statement and i was tempted to take all the money out and run lol but my concious didnt allow me to do that, its not worth the risk, anyway on my next statement they took back the extra 20,000 when they realised it was a mistake, I had even contacted a lawyer to get the legal point on it, and he suggested i left the money in the account because its a criminal offence if you know its not your money. So I wouldnt like you to think you can get away with it, if its not yours dont use it. tell them. |

Of course you have to tell them, not just legally but morally, they will take it out anyhow, it is only a matter of days.
It's dishonest to keep what doesn't belong to you.
You can also be penalized for keeping it when they find out if a long time goes by, they can close out your account and decide never to do business with you again.

It would be best not to spend it.
The bank will come looking for that money when another customer complains that it wasn't properly credited or their books don't balance at the end of the period.
They will likely be able to determine that you received it, and they will be within their rights to demand repayment. In such cases, their rights are rather limited since it was their error, but they will still have the right to collect in a reasonable period of time. |

I wouldn't spend it. I had a similar situation, but I was on the losing end. I put one wrong digit on my direct deposit and my money went into the wrong account. I had to work for a whole month before I had gotten a paycheck and everything was due! It was only because of the nice lady who told the truth about this money did I get me out of hot water with my mortgage. I have 4 children and needed to get grocery and buy gas. What I am saying is that you don't know the situation of the person on the other end and sure you might enjoy the money, have a great time, but they might be trying to get their car repaired so that they don't lose their job, and lose their apartment, or something major. Be considerate and the bigger person and report it, you never know what is on the other end. |

it would be better for you to tell the bank. i have a friend who had the same situation as yours and he spent the money. after the authority learned about it, he payed for it. just think about it. it is not yours. and i do believe you will be provided for what you need but not in that way.",) |

I personally wouldn't spend it, if you do and then they find out they may try to hold you responsible for it. I don't know what to tell you, the entire thing seems pretty fishy to me. Banks don't usually make mistakes like that. |
