Call your bank as soon as possible and ask them to freeze your account(s). Then they will suggest to you what to do, which will most likely be to ceate a new account. To retrieve your frozen money, you will need your social security number and possibly your mother's maiden name. |

Well first you need to contact your bank and inform them that you gave information to a fraudulent party and you are now afraid that it will be used (Identity theft). Then they will give you information that you can give to the police when you file your police report.

You should NEVER give out your personal info out over the internet unless you know that it is a secure area or website. Never give out social security number, bank info, etc. |

i dont quite understand what you are trying to say, do you mean that you went to the police? in the first place--NEVER give out your bank information, big,big no no. i did this once when i first got my pc, i got ripped off big time. now i dont trust anyone that says they have money for me. by the way, that free lotto is hounding me too,i just bleep them out. |

You could block your account..by calling the automatic machine and she will direct you, over the phone on how to block that account, until you get to the bank in person. |

Call your bank immediately and close the account! open a new checking account, but explain to your bank someone got your account number. they will take care of it. |

contact the police and your bank right away! tell them about this fraud! not sure if they will be able to do much in terms of getting your money back but at least they can put it on file and warn other people about it. good luck. |

The question is a little unclear; but if you mean what can the police do about it?
Depends on what happened to your bank account. If anyone takes money from you without athorization it is theift but if you unknowling were scammed into paying surcharges on some fraud lotto ticket collection there might not be any rights by law of you getting your money back.
You should how ever give what ever information you know about the lotto company to the BBB and try and prevent this from happening to others. |
