Hi, you don't have to buy expensive presents to enjoy Christmas. You're right, Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, but it is also a time for giving. You don't have to spend loads of money, just give a small gift. It is the thought that counts. Caring and loving others is worth far more than any gift. Have a happy christmas |

I shopped early so got what my son wanted, I knew things were selling out fast so got mine in. The meaning of christmas to me is being with family and giving my son what i can afford and hes never disapointed, he always appreciates what he gets, hes brilliant!! |

I am also sick of the commercialism that consumes the true Christmas spirit...it's all about business and companies enticing children with new gimmicks to expand their wealth. You know...I miss the simpler days when children truly appreciated the small things and Christmas was more than buying and selling. Even though you are pushing against the tide, it begins with you the parent. You set the standards and you set the tone...though everyone else is fighting over playstations and barbies...give your kids something that counts....teach them to give. Take them to volunteer at a soup kitchen ...show them what is means to care for others...don't get caught up in the materialism ...spending is an addiction- marketers know that if they can get the kids hooked on something - the parents will follow suit. It is time for parents to take a stand...For me, I won't buy this plastic junk that is apt to fall apart before I get it home....I don't want my children to forget the true meaning of Christmas....JESUS CHRIST IS BORN! |

christmas is just a big business commercial hype up which has been a success for them.ok,it is jesus birthday and how is it celebrated,by shopping.how many people actually pray etc etc for jesus.if u look at it that way there is no worshippings.i mean,the majority of people are non religous 363 days.it all doesnt make sense because there isnt anything to make sense of. |

Well at least you know what Christmas is and should be about. The birth of Christ. The people don't know the meaning of Christmas anymore and it is all about gifts these days. I think that Schools should teach the children about the real meaning of Christmas. What happened to Sunday School? Does it still exist? I do think the parents don't care about there children anymore, because all they care about is going to the pub and they will give their children material things to get rid of them for some time. |

It's about all these silly people running round buying everything on the shelves and making rich corporations even richer.
Christmas for me is sitting by a fire with a nice cool beer, nothing more, nothing less :)
