I think you and your neice should determine together that the definition of rich is that you are healthy, have good friends and family and that you have $1 more in assets than you do debt.
If you have a little more than one week, say 10 to 30 years, I would have some better ideas. |

You have better odds of getting hit by lightning. The lottery is your only chance in 1 week, and those are not good odds. If you want to be wealthy, that is more doable.
Everyone gives money to other people, you give the electric co money and the cable company money etc, but we never pay ourselves. What you do is pay yourself at least 10% and put the money in a savings account. Eventually the money will add up to a significant amount. When it adds up, invest it, in stocks, mutual funds, real estate.
If you ask anyone that is wealthy, they will all tell you that this is what they did, or something similar to it. |
