2 years ago when i was in 7th i sold lollipops til the end of 8th grade made about 1500 dollars because everyone knew me as the candy boy they came to me since i was selling for so long
when you establish that control of the candy buisness in your school no1 can really take money from you
(this wont work well in high school because ppl become smart :P)

See if your parents will allow you to have a rummage sale. They might be okay with letting you keep what you make if you do all the grunt work. Keep things cheap, but not so low that you're almost giving it away. Bend a little, if they offer a lower price. The idea is to make money. You're not making money if they're walking away. Go door to door in your neighborhood and ask if anyone needs any work done. Charge a flat rate per job, or even ask them what they could pay (the elderly don't have much, but they do need and appreciate the help). Being that you're as young as you are, there are few places that could legally hire you. But necessity is the mother of invention, so look around your neighborhood and try to figure out what your neighbors needs are. With spring coming, lots of people are eager to get their yard cleaned up, so rent yourself out...and bring a rake. <*)))>< |

Deliver newspapers, walk dogs, mow lawns, tutor younger kids if you are good at a subject in school, sell baked goods, iron clothes for people, do errands for people, pet-sit, bus tables, do party cleanup, wash and wax cars, put out flyers offering to help with home improvement projects, wash windows in town for businesses, get groceries for elderly people ....
Example: One girl I knew set up a bakery delivery service - she baked and delivered fresh bread and baked goods (even birthday cakes) around the neighborhood and made decent money. Make sure not to undercharge.
Idea: Offer to help before, during and after parties. Keep things neat, food out, get drinks for people (not alcohol), take coats, entertain kids, keep music going, whatever help is needed. Then, help clean up later.
Make up nice flyers and distribute them around your neighborhood. Keep letters of recommendation in a file to show people.

Get to the library. There are books along the lines of the title, "Fast Cash for Kids" by Bonnie & Noel Drew. You will get some very inspirational ideas from other teens and tweens that have actually created a business... some selling crafts, some developing products, some providing services. Check out the books... your Librarian can help you. |
