I would look into doing something where you can work from home. That could be good. You could also maybed babysit your neighbours children or for your friends. That way you can have them drop their kids off at your house and you could just watch them their, that seems like a good way to make money, and without all that much effort. |

If you have extra dvds, books, cds, clothes, shoes, etc. you don't need and will never touch again, you might benefit from selling them at Half Price Books and Plato's Closet. They probably won't pay very much, but that's one way. I got rid of half my stuff and I feel so liberated and free! Plus, I got a bit of cash from it, although not much but it made a huge difference because I was soooo broke. They don't buy everything. They only want things that are in good condition. |

Believe it or not you can make money answering questions!, with the advent of mobile phones which offer a text your question in type thingy and services like 118 which do the same thing, they need people working from home to actually provide the answers.
There are three or four companies which do this, they pay you between 10p and 30p a question, it doesnt sound a lot but if you did say 25 an hour thats £7.50, just 20 hours a week means nearly £8000 a year...
Bet you didnt know you can earn £7.50 an hour for doing what you do on here for nothing :-)
You can work as much or as little as you want, as many hours as you want, when you want to work you just log on and away you go.
You choose a question from a constantly updating list, if you know the answer great, if not then Google or Yahoo can usually find it for you.
If you dont know the answer or cant find it just move on to another question, there's no penalty.
The money is paid straight into your account each week, it's paid tax free though so you'll either have to tell the tax man or hope he doesnt find out!
To get started you go to one of the web sites and register, you are then given ten test questions and a certain amount of time to do them, its easy peasy.
For the first few weeks you are known as an apprentice and your answers are vetted, after that you are literally on your own.
I would highly recommend it to anyone on here who enjoys answering questions, its pence instead of points :-)

There is a whole movement out there of WAHM (Work at home Mums) and there are many scam free ways to help you earn extra income. Lots of help available too. This is really a site to help Over 50's but lots of ideas which you can consider www.income-in-laterlife.com
Just don't get taken in by promises of big money because it isn't going to happen, but perfectly possible to supplement your income working from home. Good Luck to you.

A friend of mine,does shopping for an elderly neighbour,takes her to appointments,picks up prescriptions/dry cleaning.She charges an hourly rate.It works quite well,as she fits it in with the school run.The elderly lady's family are aboard and it gives them peace of mind.
Another friend had a delivery job,she used her own car.I think it was for a well known catalogue company.
Other people I know test comestics/washing powder/toothpaste,the amounts they earn according to the product.
Are you outgoing,how about organising childrens parties?
