My husband & I , as well as my brother, our roomate, are in desperate need of paying old debt, and buy necessary things we need now... so we decided to try and get a Personal Loan. We need $60K to pay off what we all owe and buy what we need to buy... the extra $20K we wanna invest in a small business option to have some cash flow coming in. We all have good steady jobs, we just need help.

Sorry to be abrupt, but you don't need a loan, you don't need a small business, you need to get control of your budget.
Any time you talk about paying off one loan by taking on another loan, and increasing your indebtedness at the same time....you're heading down the wrong path. |

Go to a debt consolidation comapny who will handle the debt for you. There are laws on how to restrict repayments and to help reduce the amount you need to pay back. These people are good at handelling this, and it keeps this debt seperate from your buisness debt.
I would advise seeking a second (or inital loan if you go with an agency - that way ou dont have to borrow money, simply pay them like your paying back a loan)
Go to a local buisness goverment specialist who can give advise on bursuries/funding - most can be non repayable, so again your not stuck with such a huge loan on either side!
To be hoest stick with your personal debt untill it is managble and then look into a buisness. Both are equaly stressful. Good luck! |

Are you suggesting that you are going to get a loan that pays for your debts (as a couple) AND your brother's debts?
I would strongly urge you to NOT include your brother's debts in your own financial decisions! Mixing family and money (especially debt) has proven to be a bad things for many people.
I would hesitate on purchasing a small business option while you are in a pile of debt. The question to ask is "If you had $80K would you purchase what you are going to purchase with that money?" |
