The best advice I have ever received, and has actually made a huge difference in our lives is.....
"10% tithe always! 15% to retirement(after debt is paid off).
Tell your money where to go, instead of wondering where it went(budget on paper on purpose)!"

House = good debt
Student loans = good debt (because you are investing in a better future)
Credit cards and cars = bad debt
Anything that doesn't hold it's value or if it depreciates then it's a bad investment. Pay cash for those types of things if at all possible. As far as cars, you can get your lowest rates at Credit Unions. |
