My wife and I had the good fortune to have some extra money at a time when friends of ours were struggling. They are friends from church. We got them a card, put an appropriate Bible verse in it, one that was typed out so that they wouldn't recognize handwriting, and sent them cash in the mail. No return address. I know this is dangerous, but it is an anonymous way to get them money and they won't know it was you or try to return it since they won't know to whom to return it.
We happen to know in this case that they received it and considered it a blessing. |

try putting some money in their wallet, or put some money in a cabinet in their house so that when they see it they just think they put it there a long time ago and forgot about it |

Well, just tell them you want to help out buy groceries and have them delivered at the house or open a credit line at the local pharmacy where they purchase their medications. Just leave an envelope with money and a nice card on the table or make a deposit to their bank account. |

Maybe see if you can pick up some of their expenses - such as cable TV or telephone. Say you'll setup automatic payments, and then use your bank account instead of theirs. |

Find out what they "Needed" the most- & buy it FOR them as a "gift". Even if they suspected your "motives", they'd "look bad" turning it down... And it would get YOU off the "Spot" (& put THEM- on it!) ! :) |

my g-mas like that i pay a bill for her so she thinks it was her haha or i get her rxs for her so it looks better but just pay a bil for her like power water insurance or whatever she needs that way she cant give it back pay 1 month up i=on something for hr |

get notes like £20 ones and when you visit them
put them in there clothes pockets and in drawers
so theyl find it and be like 'oh i never knew i left £40 in the drawer'

If you live close to them, just buy the things that they need. Such as picking up their groceries, borrow their car and fill it up, while visiting whatever their source of heat is such as oil, have it delivered when you are there and take the bill. |
