Use cash to pay for everything, for example if you are going to the store to buy something only take enough money for that thing...don't take checks/debit/credit cards in with you.
Try to pay on time, this will save you late fees.
Use coupons....but ONLY on things you would normally buy.
Use bills (dollars) to pay for your purchases. Save the change, it will add up.
Turn your lights off it will save on electricity.
Don't eat out as often.
Make a shopping list and stick to it. Don't run to the store everyday and buy something for dinner you will spend a ton more money.
Shop sales.
Try to do all of your errands at one time to save on gas.
Check books/DVDs/movies out at the library instead of renting/buying.
The list could go on forever.

Stop doing the little things like if you stop for coffee and a donut in the morning. If there is something that you spend money on everyday and is not necessary stop doing it. Even if it's like you buy a soda from the soda machine at work everyday and it cost 1.25 at five days a week that adds up to $25 a month. |

I have a Bank of America checking and saving and I use their "Keep the change" Program.
Everytime I make a purchase using my Visa debit then it gets rounded up to the next dollar and the change is put in my saving account. |

BUDGET. My aunt keeps telling me to save money in case a situation arises and Im going to need some and I wont have anyway to get help to get some money. Save at least $5 from every check you get its better than nothing. When I get my new job Im going to start saving as much as I can. My aunt says I dont wont to be like some people when their in their 40's and not have a dime to my name. |

Don't buy little things like coffees or lunches (your latté factors). Instead of renting movies, take out books from the library or borrow friend's movies. There are lots of things you can do. Sit down and make a list of all your monthly expenses and figure out what you can do without. |

If you get paid like every 2 weeks then try putting like 5 bucks in a jar every time you get paid and after like a year you'll have a nice little stash! |

do less of a bad habit. you'd be surprised how expensive bad habits can be. you could save on your utilitys by taking shorter showers or turning off lights when you don't need them. that's just a few ideas for you. |

Plenty of people have a lot of stuff they don't need. Ask yourself if you can do without cable, for example.
If you check it out, you might find a cheaper phone company or broadband deal.
Tune your car up so it consumes less gas.
Drink water instead of soda with your lunch, or pack sandwiches.
