-Seeming that you are in college you must have some sort of a brain. Start tutoring high school students. If you are very careful you may even be able to get your name on one of the tutoring agencies lists. Start by tutoring people that you know, and work your way up.
-If you are a confident swimmer you may like to take a class on teaching. You may be able to do some temporary work at the local swimming center (filling in for the swimming teachers). It is a good way for you to relive stress after studying and depending on where you work you get a decent wage.
-Another option would be to start doing odd jobs at your friends houses. If they are too busy studying to clean their house they will willingly pay you to do it for them.
-If you are a crafty type of person you may like to consider opening a stall at a craft fair or bake sale. If you do this be sure that your product is different to all of the other stalls. People are more likely to buy from you if your product is unique. Another tip is to keep your wears cheap. People who shop at craft fairs don't usually carry around $50 notes.

First of all, you're right. Those survey sites are a bunch of crap. Avoid them like the plague!!!
One of the best ways to earn money without having a 9-5 job is to become an affiliate marketer, and learn how to do internet marketing. It takes time and hard work though, but the payouts are awesome!
You're never going to get free money with no effort, and if someone promises you that - it's definitely a SCAM.
Learn internet marketing and you can make tons of money.There's plenty of people around the world that reasonably quit their jobs in 6 months because of the money they bring in with affiliate marketing. The largest companies and businesses have affiliate programs, like SONY, WALMART, HOME DEPOT, etc.
