What are some good ways for a 13 year old to make a lot of money without babysitting?

I have tried baby sitting and i hate it... and also i will not work for my parents cause any money they say they will give me for doing something never gets to me.

Mow lawns
walk dogs and bath dogs
get a paper route
shovel walks in winter (if you have snow where you live)
do housekeeping for little old ladies (they appreciate the company and the help)
pull weeds
clean up empty lots
organize a cleaning crew with your buddies and create a yard cleaning service. This way you can pool your resources and maybe get more work and money.

How about a paper route.

Do you like cleaning houses? My 13 year old cleans the house really well and you could see if there are any older people that your parents would be willing to let you go to their homes and clean for. Light stuff, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc. Also, older people like someone to talk to. Maybe they know someone who would like some company sometimes just to sit with and talk or watch t.v.

Check with neighbors to see if they need any odd work done. For example they may need help in their yard, or cleaning a garage. If this does not suite you get creative. In my area the kids have lemonade stands, yard sales, and car washes. But always check with your parents first.

Making beaded bracelets which are inexpensive to make and are popular and good return on your investment.

try cutting some grass or some type of landscaping

pick up dog poop in the neighborhood. $5.00 to $10.00 per yard per week, do each yard every other day. ($5 for one dog, 8 for 2, 10 for 3+)

Mowing lawns and helping with lawn work my neices and nephews make a ton of money in the summer doing this

yard work, full service car wash, cleaning houses for neighbors, friends, and family, grocery shopping for the elderly or disabled that can't get out of their homes, or driving elderly people around for errands that can't drive and don't have family to help them.

Walk dogs, mow people's lawns, plant flowers in people's gardens, help out older people, they sure certainly need the help they deserve.

The sure thing: Offer to pick up dog poop out of your neighbors yards. Charge $5 per dog per week, and pick up twice per week, say Wednesdays and Saturdays or so. Many dog owners would be glad to pay you $20 a month to take this chore off their hands, even just for the summer. If it's not too gross for you, you can make a ton of cash for not much work. There are some enterprising individuals that have built big businesses out of this, after their intent was only to make a few bucks.

Here are some jobs I had when I was a teenager: mowing lawns, painting, asking neighbors for odd-jobs, newspaper delivery. I wasn't a fan of baby-sitting either, so I hope these suggestions help.

Find out what's cool with the students in your school, like a cool t-shirt or a game for the XBOX that you can buy cheaper by purchasing the products on Ebay or by buying in bulk from a store and start taking orders. When you go camping, buy large bag of unshelled peanuts and package them in small paper bags , set up a card table, make an attractive poster (picture of a large peanut with smilling eyes) and rake up the money. I know I would buy some. Get a wagon buy small perenial plants and go from door to door and offer those pretty plants. Most people can't refuse a darling plant because it is cheap and it makes them happy.

Good for you for wanting to make some money on your own! I suggest you check your local YMCA. They often post jobs that people would like to have done. You might find something you like and make money at the same time. Good luck.

Look in local papers, craigslist and other classified sites for FOCUS GROUPs. Make sure your parents know what you are doing. My son made $40 for 1hr of playing with toys and giving his opinion.

give one hour lessons in your favorite sport (more like kid sitting with a definite ending time)
wash cars
learn how to style hair with a blow dryer and charge your friends $5 to straighten or make perfect curls.

Mowing, dog walking. Or how about selling stuff on E Bay?

Have a garage sale or cut grass

I know this 12 years old how cut grass in his neighborhood. and in 2 years he had over $6000 in equiptment and 2 outher boys in his neighborhood working for him citting grass. In leberty Mo.

Maybe the money that supposed to get to you doesn't because maybe their a little short and I don't think that kids should get paid to work around the house. Does your parents asks you for money when they do your laundry or cook and serve you meals, wash your dishes or just for taking care of you.
I might be wrong but it sounds like you don't have it to bad where you are.It doesn't sound like your in need of food and your not hungry, I hope I'm write about this! There are a lot of kids who don't have a fridge to go to when their hungry, hope fully you have enough clothing and if you don't you live in a country that could be even harder since in a city there are soup kitchens and clothing banks. People also go to used clothing bins in shoppping plaza parking lots and grab clothing that is thrown out by people to dress their kids or themselves, a lot of the clothing is nice.
I think your just being a typical healthy teen who's maturing and going through hormonal changes,which your parents understands.Me and my mom went through this my niece,I happened to be home from the city when she got mad one day and yelled i'm going to my room I told her it's not bad here you have a fridge to go to that's full,you can come and go when ever you want a lot a people don't have that especially in the city.I reminded her that she can come down any time she wants to have something to eat whenever she gets hungry and you can stay in your room for as long as you want, at least your not walking through garbage like I see in the city. I told her you just don't know what you have and it's not that bad.
Maybe instead of expecting from your parents what you can do is clean a little around the house your own dishes your own laundry, rather than adding fuel to an argument either don't say anything or just agree even if your in the right because in the end it doesn't matter who wins or loses but how everyone feels after wards.Then may be your will give you a bit of money if they have it, but don't ask for it.
For a 13 year old to make money forget it even adults are trying to make some money just to get by in life are having a hard time.
what you can do to try and make some money is go to a laundy matt,grocery store, convenience store and post a flyer saying maid services laundry cleaning dishes floor washing and yes yuck baby sitting services.A lot of people do hire maids for around the house it really is a big bussiness doing maid work. But at your age, I hate to put a damper on things but it won't be for a lot of years before you make a lot of money and besides I don't think kids should have a lot of money some money fine but not a lot. Life shouldn't be about a lot of money or worrying about money.If you want or need money bad enough you'll baby sit, a lot of people are doing work they hate because they don't have money like you.
Be happy with what you have it could be worse.
