What are some good ways to spend the summer at home?
I need to earn money, and need something to do at home or in my neighborhood!!!

babysitting, dogwalking for people who are going on vacation over summer-also includes pet sitting, washing peoples cars, cleaning peoples houses. maybe even ask ur parents if u can do big chores around the house for extra cash like-cleaning out the garage or attic. also you could start a recycling bin thing if there isnt already one in ur neighborhood-u can take the recyclabes and get the cash (redeemabe for 5 cents each thing usually), u can get money and also help the environment

Getting a job will keep you occupied for much of the time...unless you are too young to get an actual job, you could start up a small, simple business of your own making and selling things, mowing lawns, babysitting, dog walking, etc. For the rest of your time, explore hobbies and try to find simple, old-fashioned ways of entertaining yourself. You'd be suprised how much fun they can actually be.

How old are you? How much money are we talking here? Why just in your neighborhood?

You could baby sit or do yard work...run earns for the older people in your neighborhood

There are alot of ways to make money from home but the BEST is to get a legitimate business license and a legitimate business plan doing what you love. Some people might write a newsletter on a favorite topic to sell to others who share the interest. Others might enjoy growing flowers or food products to sell. Some people may want to get employment as a lifeguard. Others may wish to sell on Ebay or host yard sales for neighbors (it's alot of work). Whatever you do make sure you're the best at it and customers will find you. Think about installing energy thermostats, selling green products, and whatever products or services are HOT in your community. If you really want to make a fortune, design a car that doesn't require gasoline.
