I think psychologist would do good in the future! So many events that we're currently going through, so many kids that need counseling but not enough counselors out there to help!

Honestly if you are in the search of a career, you should always follow your heart and not your wallet. Decide on doing something that makes you happy instead of something that pays alot. Years down the road, you are still going to getting up and going to work and if you are happy, then it will be easier. If you have a passion for anything particular then shoot for that. EX. if you love kids, be a pediatrician... if you love cars, be a mechanic... if you love the outdoors, be a game warden.

Ms. Dorsey
Any professional career could be good paying (doctors, attorneys, engineers). But the answer depends on what you consider "best paying." Medical specialities look good for the future.

Even the professionals --doctors, engineers, are not paid well. Current future jobs are in information technology. this computer science is ex panding into all walks of human attempts.

The prevailing trend (and the young are rushing into) are call centers. It does not need college graduates to be able to work or apply there. Good spoken English is well enough. The pay is high as compared to other jobs that call for degree holders. The acceleration of promotions is fast and if you want to, you can also apply at their branches all over the world.

any job related to the environment . with the thinnig of the ozone layer, and global warming at the forefront of world conciousness, most bus. are trying to find ways to go green. some possibilities for you maybe enviromental eng. ,or forestery. anothoer field that will only grow is the pharmaclogical sciences, all you have to do is look at tv to see all the new drugs comming out. all of these drugs had to be tested and reserched.lab techs. ,researchers, pharm. tech. most of these fields only require a 2 yr degree.

get the book, "What Color Is Your Parachute?" I am serious. This author quotes US Dpt of labor statistics. Or you can go to the US Dpt of Labor and look them up for yourself

open4one
Self employment.

Whatever it is you do, you'll make more at it working for yourself. Where that isn't true, you have zero job security and shouldn't expect it to last.

There is no doubt that Attorneys are the best paying, regardless of the economy - someone is always suing someone.
