Vicsta | What bank are you with and are they any good? |
I used to bank with The Woolwich, then they changed to Barclays, who are the biggest jokers I have ever come across! I have a huge list of issues with them, the most recent one being that they cancelled my bank card with no reason or explanation! Then it took 6 weeks for them to send me a new one!
I have now opened accounts with HSBC and Lloyds and will soon be closing the Barclays account.
Just interested to see what banks other people are with and if they are any good. Additional Details Richard X - I've never missed a credit card payment and I have a substantial amount of money going into the account on a weekly and monthly basis, so they have no excuse for their incompetence. |

Lloyds TSB, they're stupid from time to time, but when you do need them to do something they pull through, hell they even offer compensation for their c*ck ups, can't go wrong with that! |

The listening bank all they listen to is the sound of counting their money. |

I have two Lloyds TSB and Coop Bank. Both are good as far as banks go. |

Alliance & Leicester - avoid them. They have several times refused debit card transactions for no reason and twice paid out money on direct debits that I had cancelled. They are currently in the process of being taken over by Santander, who also own Abbey, so hopefully they will improve. |

Any blue circle banks in the city should be good to bank with. But the reputation of banks as financial services providers are not as good during their hay days years ago. They need to regain this values and trust from their customers again. |

First Direct - they are very good.
But of course most banks will give you good service when you have reasonable amounts of money in your accounts and you pay your credit card bill on time and do not over-run your overdraft.
You start to get problems with banks when you DO NOT adhere to the above.
It is a one way street with them, you cannot win :( |
