Ramen, Noodles, rice , blah, blah, blah...
Truth is that when you get to having roughly 1$ a day,
It is time for some lateral thinking.

Forget noodles and rice recipes, consider these alternatives:
1. remember your friends and family. These are your only power in life. If you have 21 friends, just visit 1 a day and you are fine. Same with family, only you can get to e.g. your aunt and spend all 3 weeks there.

2. Fake it. Find a guy, fall in love, move in together, until 3 weeks are over. On your way out, get his toilet paper too.

3. Chance it. Place a couple of high stake bets: IF you win, you are fine. If not, you just get to no. 1 and 2 faster. Anyway, what's the point of dragging it out for 2 weeks on rice and rramen, only to find out that you will get a loan, or ask a firend, or visit your aunt, or steal, etc...

Live like a college student: Ramen noodles, macaroni & cheese, beans and Rice-A-Roni. No meat, no fresh veggies. It's really hard to do. Ask your mother or father to send you some money.

go to any dollar store or 99 cent only store. U can find a ton of ramen or hamburger helper stuff and most of them even have like tuna cans 3 for a dollar. u can plan whole meals on noodles, tuna and hamburger helper. Most even have veggies and meat there to. plus ur toilet paper for 99 cents! Just do a yahoo local search for dollar tree/ stores or 99 cent stores. Good luck! and if u want good recipe ideas hit me up...trust me I've been on that same kinda budget and made some really good food from noddles tuna and mayo. Good Luck!

I hope that you don't mind eating repetitive meals... this looks challenging but maybe it's not so bad. Here are my suggestions:
TP $2
5# bag of white rice $5
Frozen vegetables of your choice $4
2# Summer Sausage, or some other sausage $6
18 eggs $2
2# ground beef, 80% lean $6
That's $25. It might not be the most vitamin-rich menu but with the right spices you could make a variety of things: Rice and sausage. Hamburger patties. Fried rice. Soup. Eggs over rice. Scrambled eggs with the meats and veggies. The less you eat the less TP you'll use, too. Good luck.

For one thing, shop at Walmart if you can. Their prices, for the same items/brands, are sometimes as much as a dollar cheaper. Dried beans and brown rice are a good combo for nutrition. Cheap eggs. Whole-wheat flour. You can add water, eggs, whatever else you like, and make a filling meal as pasta or pancakes, etc. Of course white flour tastes a lot better. Walmart carries pretty cheap packages of pasta. Chicken livers and some pork cuts, are cheap, if you like them, and can be used sparingly with other food items. Frozen vegetables are healthier than canned and less expensive than fresh, but, of course, you have to pick the cheaper ones, like peas. Canned tuna or salmon might be cheap. Bananas are filling, offer good nutrition, and are cheap. Unless it's a SuperWalmart though, they won't carry fruit or fresh meat. I don't know if paper towels are cheaper than toilet paper. You could look into it. Ground beef in the long packages is pretty cheap and very versatile. If you shop at other supermarkets, try to shop on Monday. I think that's a "sale' day. If you're at rock-bottom and you have a gas card, add convience-store crappy food to your gas card. Good luck. I just remembered something else. The Salvation Army, where I live anyway, has a refrig of free food, and churches, temples, etc. might help you out.

check out the churches around you. i know that most St vincent de paul helps people and others...
tell them you need supplies tp etc...
i would buy some ramen noodles, eggs, and hot dogs, canned pork n beans ....oatmeal

At shoprite they were selling 10 cents instant macaroni + cheeze box, semi big...

if you eat 1 for breakfast, 2 for lunch, and 3 for dinner, that means for 3 weeks it would cost you only like 15 bucks...plenty to get a few snakcs on the way and toilet paper

The truth is you may need to pick up a few bottles and cans for recycle. Or do something else to add to your income. Most meals average $3 each so I do not think $25 will last long enough without either skipping meals or bumming off of a friend, going to a food bank or a church, or trading with someone your other stuff.

Ramen noodles, beans and rice, spegghetti, mac n cheese with tuna. You basically have a dollar a day to eat on, but with spegghetti and beans and rice, you can eat leftovers for a couple of days. Not much of a budget you have there!

Bag of rice, Bag of mixed vegetables, head of lettuce, carrots, celery, bananas, velveeta cheese with bread on sale day old. Also, get condiments from fast food place by taking them. You can get a double decker taco at Taco bell for a dollar and a double cheesburger at McDonalds for a buck. Ask for cup of water no charge.

Collect coupons for “free items” or cents off products (I don't think you can use coupons at the Dollar Store.)

Shop at the Dollar Store:
Lunch/Dinner: Tuna, salmon, soup, fruit/veggies
Eggs for breakfast, boiled eggs/bread or crackers/
frozen food/spinach fresh or frozen, whichever is cheaper
your favorite beverage/Peanut Butter/Jelly for sandwiches.

If you have today’s (Sunday) newspaper: see what is “on sale” and look for coupons for items you frequently use. Keep your eyes open For FREE coupons (Kleenex Tissue often has free coupon – you can use The Tissue as Toilet Paper if you run out of TP)Some fast-food places, like Quiznos have a free sandwich special

I hope this helps. Good luck. Only buy what you will eat or use the next three weeks.

Buy large quantities of rice, canned corn, chicken broth and beef broth.

Make this recipe with and without various types of meat which you can also buy canned.

You did not state whether you have refrigeration, cooking facilities, etc.

One Pot Chicken with Rice Recipe
1 can clear chicken broth
1 can (chicken broth can) water
1 can frozen or canned whole kernel corn
1 can (chicken broth can) diced chicken breast
1 can (chicken broth can) long grain white rice
Heat chicken broth, water and corn to near boiling.
Add rice and chicken, stir, cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
Stir and season to taste with salt, curry, ginger, garlic or whatever.

wow. If you could swing TP for $4 bucks you'd have $21 left for three weeks or $3 / day.

FWIW, on a world wide basis, human rights organizations track countries with people who live on less than $2 / day and those are 3rd world countries and it covers all of their living expenses, so what you want to do is NOT an easy thing but it may be do-able.

So forget about eating out. You need someting that can sustain you and you need not care if you are tired as heck with eating it. Also, it needs to probably need to be the same stuff cause you can buy in bulk, which you need.

So, go to your local discount store (hopefully you have a Wal-Mart super center) and consider the following things:
1. Oatmeal
2. Rice
3. Carrots in bulk
4. Canned Beans - Pintos, Great Northerns, whatever you can find that is cheap and the bigger the can the better.
5. The cheapest Multi-Vitamin you can get
6. The cheapest margarine you can find in as big a tub as you ca avoid (I"m hoping you have salt and paper at home)
7. Generic Mac and Cheese if its silly cheap.

Here's the thing. You need the multi-vitamin because meat is pretty much out of the question. The Oatmeal and the Rice will take you a long way if you buy in bulk. Have the oatmeal for breakfast (and try to score some sugar packets somewhere like at the coffee bar at work. Real sugar preferably cause you're gonna need the calories). The carrotts will give you some of the basic vitamins and minerals you need and normally are very cheap in bulk (versus other veggies). Never look at Celery or Cauliflower as they actually produce "negative calories". The margarine is so you can add something to the rice to give it a little flavor. Margarine, Salt and Pepper in rice actually makes it tolerable. Beans are one of the best sources of protein and fiber and its another thing you need. The best are pinto's and great northerns are also good. You need a good amount. Alternative to canned you could buy bulk beans and make them that way, and apply the same margerine salt and pepper approach but they won't have as much flavor. Your call. but bulk beans are silly cheap. If you can afford a few boxes of generic mac and cheese you'll be happy you did as it will give you a break.

Now, to stretch it, you need a few rules:

. You need to portion your food out up front into week and day sections. If you don't have storage that way, you need to take the box measurements and then divide by 21. that's your portion for that item per day. On anything canned or premade box, My suggestion is to use it as a suppliment and have no more than half the normal portion per serving so you extend it to two servings. Figure out how often you can have it up front and then stick to it.

When you are hungry, drink water. When you can't stand it any longer.... drink more water. If you are a girl, call a guy buddy and have him invite you to dinner. If you have friends around, see if you can get invited to a meal.

Good luck.

I hope this was helpful.

Take Care,

TBG
