Stood in long lines at the bank and lost payments in the mail.

I'm with you... I'm much better at monitoring my finances thanks to the internet world.

if you think back really far, you might remember writing on one of those things called a "check" and putting it in a paper pouch called an "envelope" and sticking on a liitle sticker in the corner called a "stamp" and putting it in a big blue box called a "mail box".
and you might recal actually setting foot in "the bank", where people sit at those little teller windows and then there are some people at desks. them memory is fading a little for me too but i think i remember most of it.

They actually went to the bank in person!!!!! I refuse to use online banking I don't want the bank tellers to lose their jobs to a computer.

I like your question:) We are a spoiled society. Before all the online stuff, we were not lazy because we did not have the convenience of doing things from out own homes.

To me when we got out, we got to know people better. Nothing is nicer than walking into a bank and having the teller know your name. :)

It's nice to do things from home, but it was even nicer when we all actually got out and did it all in person. :)

People mail in their checks and bills. Actually we are still doing it without using online banking. It's a part of routine, it's not difficult. In fact, we just receive a duplicate bills from the same company that they said they didn't receive our payment. I paid check and cash in their office. I have to provide my checks copy to prove I have paid for the service even though it's not my fault they lost their paper works. I trust the program and system, just don't trust the people working behind the program. They are just as confused...
