I'm slightly past 40, and I spend alot of my money on my house - the mortgage, the maid service, the lawn service, property tax, maintenance costs, new appliances, landscaping, etc. I also help out my parents who are in their 70's, so alot of my money goes there. |

I am 55. I spend almost 79% of my income on my home mortgage (including a lot of extra principle) and my retirement savings. |

I ask myself the same thing. Most adults 40-60 still have teenagers or young adults still at home. I don't know about anyone else, but it costs alot to feed and dress them. Even though they work, they are struggling and we, as responsible parents help them out. |
