What do you think of a jobless 33 year old living with his mom?

I think of the movie Pyscho.

Seriously, thats not a good look, I think that person needs to get up off their *** and get a job and a studio apartment, at minimum.

Unless his mom is disabled and needs a fulltime caregiver and he's doing that, he should get a job.

BC
Bad luck happens to everybody but you need to get a job and get out now. Don't be a burden or leach.

I've never met him, how can I think anything of him?

marty
He needs to get a life and go to work.

jaffacake
Wouldn't like to judge - perhaps he's retired from work having made a mint and invited mom to move in so he can care for her. Perhaps he is someone with disabilities that make independent living very difficult. Don't know enough about this man to have an opinion I'm afraid!

Well it depends on the circumstances I suppose. If he's just down on his luck and needs a little boost to get back up on his feet, I say he's just down on his luck.

However, if he's never moved out, he's lame. If he has no motivation to keep a job, he's lame. If he's still nursing, he's extremely lame.

just get a job. i don't have anything against you, but unless your mother needs you for medical reasons you need to find your own life. start with a job, get an apartment. growing up isn't that scary, you know =D. you still have time to find a mate and get some kids, hahahaha. i'm not laughing at you, just the way i worded that.

But basically, grow up, k?

Hrscrzy4

Needs to make some life changing decisions and get out of the rut before life passes them by.

First off why are you jobless???
If you have a good reason then I'll giv eyou some slack.. but as for living at home.. I know you should get out o your own.. however where i live rent is soo expensive I wish I still lived with my parents... SO I don't blame you on that one.. but no reason not to have some type of job ... get up and get out there... Need one I'll hire ya.. if your reliable...

I think that's a shame and that jobless 33 year old needs to find a job and move out of his moms house and be an independent man. God Bless.

I guess it might depend on the circumstance, but mostly it's disturbing, get a job.

That they are lucky to have a mom like that - person needs to get a job and move out.

Robert B
Hmmm...sounds like my situation. At 33 I lost my job, home, everything and had to move from a city I loved home to a an area I do not like one bit. I've been searching for one, but I'm not having any luck in the area I am in now. If you are in this situation then I have great sympathy for you. It is very depressing and frustrating to put it mildly. It's hard to describe the daily stress. It's hell. Good luck to you.

LOL - that's my brother. Although he does have part-time work, so he's not completely jobless.
Living with the folks is fine, but only if you have a concrete plan and goal - you're saving money to buy your own house or pay off debts or take care of a sick family member or something. This person needs to make a plan, get a job, and set a definite move-out date.

ronnie s
sounds like a sad story of a lazy kid that never did anything with his/her life.

He has lots of 'room for improvement'.

Some families have money and there is no need to work. Some parents enjoy having there kids live at home.

YOU KNOW MY BROTHER TOO ?????

jenadee_01
I think he's jobless. 33 years old. And lives with his mom. Period. Considering I've never met him, it would be kinda of hard to say.
