It depends on the spending patterns. You could call the local county office to find the food stamp benefits for a family of four with no income. You could also find it on the Internet. Generally Americans spend more than that. You could spend less if you ate more beans and rice.

I have a family of 4 and we easily go through $200.00 per week on both food and toiletries. That does include laundry detergent, fabric softener, soap, shampoo, Etc...

On average I spend about $130-$150 a week for our family of 4. The weeks that you have to buy the toiletries and laundry and cleaning supplies are the high weeks about $200 and if it's just food items it usually about $85.

I think you could do it for 125 a week if you really watch what you buy use coupons and do some meal planning before you go shopping only buy what you need

Depends what you cook.
Me and my roomate spend about 110 dollars for 1 week of food for 2 people. Thats about 8 dollars a day on food. 8 dollars a day per person, per day.
