Non sufficent funds. It means you didnt have enough money in the bank to cover what you purchased. Some banks will have an overdraft protection, but they charge you. Mine charges $22 per coverage. So, they will cover my hsortage, but I will pay them for it, so I dont bounce a check. You have 30 days to pay your account to bring it back current (not overdrawn) otherwise you will go on check systems, which means you cant have a checking account for about 7 years, and it goes on your credit. |

non-sufficient funds. Banks put holds on your (check) deposit when your account has a negative dollar balance. Usually the check is held for 3 days in state and 5 days out of state. Once the check clears, the bank will take their money to make your account $0.00, and you will get the rest. |
