It means I'm glad I have a 401K to fall back on. If there's any part of the system that should be privatized, THIS IS IT. How can it be running out of money? What are they investing in to run out of money, Disney stock?

To me it is people getting money when they are out of work.

Free loaders getting something for nothing.

It wasn't made that way, but it sure is now.

Social security...ah yes, that golden dream, born in the beauty of socialist idealism, degraded since the 80s when the idea that we should all help each other became anathema. Social security for me is like the dodo - a beutiful example of what we stupidly allowed to die.

Gordon Gekko
complete and utter shambles.

oh yeah, and the biggest ponzi scheme i've ever seen...

Social Security means the warefare of every one socially. It is an organization that is responsible to make sure you and I are well taking care of. In terms of pension, sicknesses death, accident and so on. In my country we have a governmeent institution call National Social security and Wellfare Coorporation. this organzisation makes it their duty to take care of both private and government employees. They register you and give you an ID number. A certain amount of money is deducted from you salary every month. So when ever you fine yourself in a very critical condition they make sure to take care of you.
