on lawn work
doing other peoples "honey do lists"
car washing
dog walking,dog sitting
house sitting
kid sitting, or 2 to 3 hours of entertaining the kids while the adult gets some things done( big money here) don't classify it as baby sitting.
gutter cleaning
close organizing
filing
sweeping
spring cleaning
windows
washing decks
oh/ the list is endless and the summer cash is steady

for a 12 year old probably your best bet is cutting ppls grass and doing yard work it is an extremely good and fast way to make money and especially if the ppl want you too come back again and explain to them that your trying to buy something and they would probably pay more |

The best way is to knock on peoples doors in your neighbourhood, You could do cleaning, gardening, yard work, washing there cars, walk there dogs, deliver newspapers, pamphlets etc. |

i once saw a kid about that age (with his friends) going from shop to shop in town offering to was the store front windows for $5 (don't get greedy and start asking for $10 or $20 they will tell you right where to go!) all you need is a squeegee, bucket, soap and cloths.
$5 per shop window might not seem like alot but remember if you only do 10 windows a day for 5 days thats $250 and repeat business.

When I was your age I had a paper route and I washed dishes at a local restaurant, way back when. You're at a good age to start paying attention to what the more successful people are doing with their lives and how they have managed to get to where their at, I only wish I could go back in time and pay closer attention, I'm not trying to sound condescending, but pay attention to the more successful peoples' habits and try to surround yourself with these types of role models, there are a lot of bad roads to take out there and having the right people as your friends and role models can mean all the difference in the world. |
