Im with Lloyds and Barclays.
Lloyds are awful to me and I avoid using them for anything more than the occasional bill payment.
Barclays have always been very good, prompt service in the bank and not long to wait on the phone to talk to someone. |

Im with the Clydesdale bank and have been for over 20 years now. Ive not much problems with them, although these days if i need anything banking wise instead of calling the call centre I get right through to mylocal branch and talk to the manager, who I went through school with. |

I've been happy with Smile...the internet bank with the Co-op..for about 10 years. They always seem to deal with issues quickly. Not the bes tinterest rate any more though. In my (and several friends) experience, Lloyds TSB are not very good. |

I know by fact HSBC is the best bank in Britain. My family and friends use is it, it is so good. There was a time, i tried getting money out, but i couldn't, i didnt have to call them, they called me and sorted out my card, the next day, i used my card.
everyone i no uses HSBC, its not just a bank, its like a friend to one, cos its so good. |

been with HSBC for 12yrs and have had no problems with them..their security is v good as well...any transactions out of the ordinary and they ring you 1st b4 they process it....had been with Natwest after uni and no end of problems..also have account with Halifax and they have been so crap... |

Not a bank as such, but it operates like one, Nationwide Building Society. Very friendly staff, very helpful. made my switch from First Direct to them very smooth. First Direct were very good too (phone banking - part of the HSBC group) but Nationwide paid more interest so I moved :-) |

i love Washington mutual for my checking. For savings i use an online savings account at INGdirect.com - they give decently high interest. its gone down a little lately, since the economy sucks, but there arent any fees or anything. WaMu has a similar online savings with 4% interest but they have fees and crap. Commerce Bank is good for the fact that its open late and on sundays. My boyfriend has his savings there and likes it but I dont know much else about it. |

I have tried several banks and so far my top 2 are State Farm bank, there are online only, but great customer service and very fast transactions. The other is 5/3 bank which is located all over Michigan and IL, which works for me. |

Dont use Washington Mutual
They are mother You know whats on customer service and will love to tax you for any to all things.
Bank of America is good and Suntrust aint too shabby |
