Wow I'm 13 too and I had the same problem as you about a month ago because this summer I wanted to finance my own bbq party and I needed like $300 so I started a baking service with 3 of my friends. You might want to do it with at least 3 people in your business so they can help you with the money to buy the stuff. But don't just sell baked treats, you can sell lemonade, milkshakes, and candy. Candy can sell a lot. But sell it for more than you buy it so you make more money! And if you're not making as much money as you want to by selling it to your friends, family, and people at school you and your 2 friends can sell it outside on a Saturday like a lemonade stand but you'll make more. And make sure you do it on a hot day so a lot of people will want milkshakes and cold lemonade. I hope you're lucky in your future money! |

ask your neighbors if they need any help with chores...mowing lawns...painting...taking out trash..walk pets...housesit..wash cars....offer to babysit (if they think your too young..offer to babysit at your house with your parents home)..just prove your responsible and looking for things to do and neighbors will turn to you for all thier unwanted chores!...my brother and sister make a fortune! |

Well, depending where you live there's not really many things you can do.
But, you can ask your local shops (not supermarkets, just newsagents and sweet shops etc) if they need any help there, or you could ask to help at a hairdressers to sweep hair, you could get a paper round, you could babysit, but I'm not sure if you'd get much work there, walk dogs. Just things like that. Good luck with getting a job. |

When I was 13 I got my working papers and worked at a miniature golf course and sub shop. I think you might get a job at the supermarket or CVS type of store. The only problem is lately jobs have been very tight. College students take what they can and leave very little for high school kids, so you might have a long wait. It is a sad sign of the times, people are really looking for anything. |

You can't get a job at 13 because of child labor laws. You can baby sit or do yard work around your neighborhood. Do some extra chores around your house and ask your parents. |
