CCCS is definetely the best way to go. They will review your debt situation and honestly tell you if you are too far gone for Credit Counseling or Debt Settlement and need to consider Chapter 7.
Watch out for the fly-by-night counseling services. Many of them charge exhorbitant maintenence fees to simply hold your money for you.
The best place to start is The National Foundation for Credit Counseling at http://www.nfcc.org. From there, you can find your local CCCS agency. |

get another job so you have two, don't go out on the weekends, don't socialize with friends that costs money do this for about a year and you should be out of debt.
don't get another credit card to cover the other ones you will go into a debt cycle.
as i see it a year of hardship is better of then in three years filling for bankruptcy. |

If you are in the UK then have a look what the office of fair trading has said about unjust credit card charges, it won't clear your debt but you might be able to take the credit card provider to the small claims court to recover any unjust fees charged that has contributed to your debt. |
