There is always paperwork to fill in but cab will help if you need it.
In engalnd cost for petitioning your own bankrupcy is £485 minus £150 if you are on benefits. Yes you have to go to court to file, but not a major thing in a courtroom, just a judge in a room, will ask you questions on how you got to this point and have you sought proper advice. The web site for the forms to download is www.insolvency.gov.uk.
My advice is to get proper advice from an insolvency practitioner or the cab to make sure it is the right thing to do.
Good luck |

It costs about £350 to go bankrupt .You must go to see an insolvency practitioner. They will give you forms which you must list all of your debts on. Then you make an appointment at your local county court . You then go in front of a judge who then sends everything to the insolvency service. If you do it under a personal debt you get discharged in a year and freedom from your debts. There is no easier way to do it and you must do it by the way i have explained. |

NO. You will have to go to court, and you will definitely have a ton of paperwork to do. You should really consider both legal and financial advice before you do this. It will be a problem for a really long time, so use bankruptcy only if there is absolutely no choice. |

no - you have to testify under oath. lots of paperwork to fill out - lawyer/court costs probably $1000.No guarantees on getting debts discharged anymore - most people have to go chap 13 and go on payment plan and if you've racked up debt in the last 6 months -= forget it - you'll have to pay it in full |

Hmmm, I see why your business failed. In regards to your question stating that you do you want to appear in court, sign too many papers, etc. I'm guessing this is a habit of how lazy you are which also could be the reason of why your business failed!
OR!
This could be that you are embarassed by the fact that your business failed and your trying to get it over with as quick as possible without showing your face to anyone.
Tip: If your business failed, take the reason why and use it to your advantage. Use mistakes as a lesson learnt and use it to make sure that it won't happen again. |

Sounds like someone is trying to hide assets from creditors. Not to worry...depending on what those assets are your creditors may not have any interest. Example: I have an acquantence that had declared his extensive stamp collection...The creditors felt they wouldn't benefit from it's sale. He subsequently sold the collection via auction for $2.5 million and retired. Did he really have to b/k...well, he owed $10 million. This was under the previous laws. Now it's much more difficult to b/k. Suggest you consult WE THE PEOPLE a legal services company that I am not endorsing...just suggesting. |

The only cheap alternative is to prepare your own petition instead of having it done by an attorney or document preparation service. You do not have to have an attorney represent you but it would be wise to do so.You have to have had a debt counseling session then file a bankruptcy petition, pay filing fees and appear in court to make yourself available for examination by your creditors. |
