anneandrews825@btint... | What is the exchange rate from english to american dollars? |
|
|

The British Currency is Pounds. Exchange Rate 0.5602 Pounds to $1.
There are other countries that are still part of Great Britian that use Dollars though. They are Australia and Canada. The conversion of the Australian Dollar is 1 US Dollar for every 1.3279 Australian Dollars. Canada currency conversion is 1 US Dollar for 1.1282 Canadian Dollars.
From what I understand Britian does not us the Euro, because they wanted to keep the royal family on there currency (Someone can correct me on that if they want). The conversion for the Euro is. $1 for every 0.8028 Euros.
Some other countries that use dollars are:
Bahamian Dollar $1 B for $1 US
Barbados Dollar $2 B for $1 US
Belize Dollar $1.9775 for $1 US
Bermunda Dollar $1 B for $ 1 US
Brunei Dollar $1 B for $1.5895
Hong Kong Dollar $7.7554 HK for $1 US
New Zealand Dollar $1.5832 NZ for $1 US
Singapore Dollar $1.5886 S for $1 US
Taiwan Dollar $32.105 TW for $1 US
There are even more Countries that have Dollars too, I just don't have the time to list them all..
Hope this helps
The conversion information I got from http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert |

The exchange rate between the US dollar and other monetary forms, such as the Euro, will fluctuate. You should check with a financial instituation for the latest rates, but there are websites you can check on as well. I have posted the one I always use. |

for every 1 euro there 85 cents
note: currency exchanges and banks are usually the only ones that do the daily conversions. hotels, resturants and stores do not. |

The currency in the United Kingdom is pounds (not, as some might have it, Euros).
The best way to check the exchange rate is via OANDA.
Currently it shows:
1 US Dollar = 0.55968 British Pound
1 British Pound (GBP) = 1.78673 US Dollar (USD). |
