Regardless of the job you do, the minimum wage for a 17-year-old is £3.30 per hour, and is due to rise to £3.40 per hour in October. You should speak to your employer about this, because even if you're classed as a 'casual' worker, you are still entitled to NMW. minimum wage applies to people who work the minimum hours set out by the government (normally 16 hrs a week). because you only work 4 hrs they can pay you what they like regardless of age. |
