Coupons. Get on net, paper, store. They add up. Stores double and triple them. Never pay full price bargin, you would be surprised at managers will give you a break. Walk. Date well off person and eat there all the time, shower there, move in, saves on phone, electricity. Be careful as you may get nut. Also do not get a room mate as as could be nut. Buy a savings bond with money you save from your paycheck. If you can save $25 a week, then buy a $50 bond. If it's a $100 bond, then it only cost half. So lyou may want to wait till the end of the month and buy a couple of $200 bonds and start drawing interest. When it matures you have doubled your money. Also you can not cash it in for the first six months but after that you can. So you save and get interest and cannot grab it when a sale comes on something that if you wait you know you can live without. Take care. |

Don't spend it all! Sounds obvious, but seriously that's what you need to do. Decide that you are going to take say $50 out of each paycheck and put it in a savings account -then leave it there - it will add up. |

Oddly enough, my best one is to treat every (new) charge like a deduction from your checking account. I was in credit card debt and I realized that if I deducted the money from my checking account every time I charged something, I would have enough money in the account to pay off the new charges. It worked like a charm and I have been credit card debt free for years. |

What I do is make a spreadsheet in Excel. I list my incoming and how much I am going to spend on each other thing in my life (rent, food, clothes, etc) each month. Then stick to your guns and don't cheat. You should save money and get rid of your debt. I hope this helps and I will pray for you. |

Dont throw it away on expensive stuff - mostly food and drink, when there is a cheaper alternative. Don't buy alcohol in bars. Don't buy coffee for $3 at Starbucks (make at home or at work). Don't eat out for $15 at lunch. Once you start with that, then invest the diff... |

if you are in debt and want to get out of debt -- cut out every thing that is not necessary -- cable internet cell phone -- these are nice but not necessary == if you are not in debt -- than the first person you pay when you get a check is yourself and you invest this in some type of long term savings!!!! |

put all your loose change in 2 piggy bank, one for quarters and another for other loose change. After some time you will see that you have aproximately hundreds of dollars.
Now the fun starts. Try to pay with the loose change, cofee, gas, food, ect. Try to pay $10 in nickles to a cashier and she will definetly remember your face. When they start to get upset you will not go to that place again. See how much your spending will drop. |
