There's absolutely nothing wrong with not knowing what you want to do when you start college. What I would recommend is you spend your first semester or two taking classes in the various fields that interest you - as well as some you may not have thought about.
If you have the ability to do so, I would also recommend contacting people who work in those various fields to see if you could shadow them for a day or two (or at least interview them) so you can try to decide what to study. If you are able to do this, try to focus on the day to day aspects of the jobs rather than the sexy or glamorous parts of the job.
As someone who studied business, I would recommend taking some basic business classes no matter what you decide to study. Things like economics, accounting, and business law have relevance to many jobs. And if not for work, having a background in these subjects just helps you understand the real world better. |

One reason would be to learn not to dangle a participle.
Just go take some general education courses at the Junior College and you find out what you want.
You have to take a science course some computer courses, some math, some business so by the time your through the first two years you'll likely know what direction you'll be going. |

Hey Tana!! I would have to say go for a career where theres a demand in your area!! But choose something you wanna do also. Money is a big thing no matter where you live so id go for a high paying job like an RN or something in demand like that. But if thats not you find something you like and that theres a demand for. Dont do what my friends did and change your major after 3 years of wasted time. Choose right the 1st time and youll be glad you did!! Good luck!! |

what are you good at ? I love to do fashion designer and hair&nail stylist but I can't afford it so I choose business management because I wrok at retail store and i'm good at it too but it won't cost me as others for the first year then when I get a better job I don't mine complete the MBA degree.just follow you mine and your heard. |

CSI is a good job, hard work and hard studying, but always a market for it.
BM, GD, HD are good pay, but high risk (highly saturated and competitive).
Anthro and arch are just jobs, hard work and not much pay, there's demand, so you need a real passion to do it. |

Yes.., its always nice to listen your heart..! however sometimes it wont be as practical as we think.
I think all of us has faced these problems in our lifes. The best practical method is, do your college degree' mean time you will have more idea about 'your likes' .. to do a specialisation in some of those fields you need a college degree..! or you can also do part time course with your college.
Anyways, My personal exp. is that after some point of time its very difficult for us to do college and concetrate on studies. So at this time.. work hard and have best future..!

most colleges have a list of required courses you have to take before you declare your major anyway, so i would wait a little while before deciding and knock those out first. |

u can probably take them all at once or eventually going in accordance with schedule listed online or otherwise.Business management is hard though my guy had a long hard day at school and has to get up early but has a report due in the morning and passed out asleep doing that homework tonight. |
