Ok, well I only make $10 a week for doing chores at my own home, and, I am only 13, but that just isn't doing it for me.
I could do more chores and maybe get $15 a week but thats alot of chores I gotta do.
Right now I do this:
Clean Up My Room(Gets really messy)
Vaccum Upstairs + Downstairs
Dust Downstairs + My Room
And I do my chores every Friday(unless otherwise told)
If I would like to make $15 I probably would also have to do this:
Clean bathrooms(3 in my house)
Put Away Dishes(Almost everday)
So are there any other ideas you guys/gals have to get some more money? |

go to "smart and final" or "costco" and buy a box of 30/40 candies for like 10 bucks and sell it in school for $75-1.00 and there u go thats like $20 profit |

Geesh, how times have changed. You should feel lucky you get $10 a week. *chuckles*
The fact of the matter is if you want more money, you have to do more things. As for more ideas, there's cleaning the garage, taking out the trash, lawn care, washing the car, cleaning out the car (dusting and vacuuming). There's a lot you can do.
You have to make the decision of what is more important. Do you want more money bad enough to do more work for it? What you are facing is what adults face every day. Making that right decision now will help you make the right decisions later in life. |

Wow, you're lucky to work at home and get paid for it. When I was your age (about 43 years ago...) we had to do what you do just to earn my parents respect. If we wanted money in our pocket we got it from the neighborhood, babysitting, cutting grass, shoveling snow, delivering newspapers, raking leaves etc.

Ok, so you only do your chores on Friday, once a week and getting $10. I don't think cleaning your room should be considered a chore. Its your room so you need to take care of it. Maybe clean it up every other day and it won't be so bad on Friday. Consider yourself lucky you get an allowance for doing those things. My kids had to do those things and didn't get paid because as a family, its what you should do - help each other out. You all live there and you all have to help. If your parents do it the rest of the time, who do you thinks pays them? No one, they still have to go to work everyday and then come home and work around the house. I don't see what you could need more money for at 13. You are making $40 a month. My son worked at a restaurant for a couple hours a day as a busser when he was 13. He had a paper route. My daughter did the same things. Maybe you could be like your mom one day. Go to school, come home, fix dinner, do laundry...do all the things your mom or dad does on a daily basis. You will see how hard it can be and how easy you have it. And housework isn't always easy, but neither is going to work every day. We always have to work hard for what we want. It makes us appreciate it more. So either suck it up and do the extra work, or go and get a paper route that doesn't require mom or dad's help. |

Sell food to your classmates at school. Try preparing easy desserts and take them to school on Friday as a "SPecial Dessert Day" sell them to your classmates at the price you consider!!! GOOD LUCK!!! |

Try to educate your parents about the rise of inflation in this country so that they will realise that this amount of monetary compensation is just absolutely too small for today's expenses!!!! Graphs and other info from the web can help,,,and if you prepare your case well enough maybe they will concede to your demands for MORE MONEY. |

earning 10 dollars at 13 is agreeable , what i feel is you can request house hold for a rise or saving on your behalf which can be used for future expenditures, dont add on more house hold , where you end up with dollar attracted loosing your health at 13 , hope you can decide accordingly |

SAVE everything in any way, (trim your food, don't buy things which are too expensive, anyway people won't know about the price.) |

Try and get a job at In N Out lol they pay more money than McDonalds per hour and on the days you arent working for youre mom or in your house try asking neighbors for jobs. like moving lawns or babysitting i guess |
